Taylor Jones from Hillcrest Primary School and Jesse de Jager from Highbury Prep School were the upper Highway winners of the Paint Expert Art Competition.
Over 200 Grade 1 learners from the two schools submitted creative works of art using recycled materials, paint and or crayons. The two winners were selected and two lucky draw winners were picked from those who arrived on the day of the prize-giving, held at Paint Expert in Hillcrest.
“This is a community initiative to stimulate the children to develop creative minds,” said Kerriden Webb from Paint Expert.
The four lucky winners each won a bedroom make-over that consisted of five litres of Plascon interior paint of their choice and a R500 Mr Price Home voucher.
